THE day finally arrived....

Kaeli had been asking some interesting questions about orphanages and where are the mommy's and daddy's, etc... So, we decided it was time to tell her that she had birthparents in China. It's a day that I've been dreading, for whatever reasons... She did receive the information well and was interested to look at some pictures of her orphanage and her finding spot. We also watched Disney's "Meet the Robinsons" because there is a scene in the opening with a mom that takes her baby in the dark of night and leaves it on the steps of an orphanage, the scene is repeated at the end of the movie, as well. Kaeli sat straight up on the bed at the end of the movie and watched that part intently.
How much of what we told her that she actually understands, I'm not sure. There are bound to be questions that we can and can't answer, and we'll deal with them as they come. What information we have, we will share with her honestly and openly.
Today we're off for some fun - back to Gainesville for the spring Orange & Blue football game! We're hoping to snap a picture of Kaeli with Tim Tebow!!
